About the Chatham-Kent Amateur Radio Club

Membership in the CKARC is open to anyone who has an interest in amateur radio. Activities include providing communications to community events, weekly nets, ARES, CANWARN weather observation, and monthly meetings - where various aspects of amateur radio will be discussed and demonstrated.

The annual ARRL Field Day event allows the club to deploy our communication trailer and operate for 24 hours on emergency power. There are also Simulated Emergency Tests during the year. Members and guests are encouraged to participate.

Our Weekly Net
The Chatham-Kent Amateur Radio Club has one of the longest-running nets in Southern Ontario. Every Wednesday night at 19:30 local, join us on the VA3KCR 146.680- (may return to VE3KCR repeater 147.120+ 100hz PL or may be moved to the new 145.190 repeater) for on-the-air fellowship. This net is often international, thanks to our repeater's wide footprint. Buy, sell or trade your ham gear during the new swap shop portion of the net. Don't forget to pick up your mic and give us a call.

Meetings

Club meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month (except July and August), starting at 19:00 local.

Residence on the Thames, 850 Grand Ave W, Chatham, ON N7L 5H5.
